Life is short,
But the days are long.
When I look behind,
I see how far we've come.
When I look ahead,
I see we must go on.
The journey so far
Pales in comparison
To the journey ahead.
Or does it?
So many more rungs
We have to climb.
But do we really know
How far we must go?
